Finding the Right Green Screen Material

You may find green screen kits which contain cheap lights, green screen backdrops made of cloth, light stands etc. The kits may be easy to set up and use. However, this all is of little use if you do not get decent green screen material for photography. Even the best camera and lighting will not work if you do not get the right material for the green screen. Here is some important information about the material for the green screen:

Digital Matte Keying Material

The green screen suppliers or manufacturers have many types of green or blue screen materials available. Which ones should be used? Of course, the material, which works with minimum wrinkling, is cost-effective and grips up under heavy use, should be used. So, which is best – muslin, lycra, foam or nylon? The answer varies depending upon the situation in which the shooting has to be carried out.

About Generic Green Muslin

Muslin is the type of green screen material which is widely available on online sources and is included mostly in green screen kits available in the market for shooting for green screen. This material is sometimes difficult to work with due to some valid reasons. Firstly, it wrinkles very easily. Secondly, it absorbs light very easily. It is good to use by beginners in photography, because it is available at an affordable price. However, if you are a professional and you wish to achieve professional and clean results in chroma keying, you should use some other material for your green screen.

  1. I would love to stop by. But, I think it might have to wait until this summer. I did not know that Serlkay had ever expanded its size. I must say that a succesful family owned business in this day and age is a very refreshing sight! As well as this is a very refreshing site!
